The festival grounds are still deserted. In a few days, this field will turn into a sea of tents, campers, and colorful meeting places, but right now a serene calm prevails. Florian Silvis stands in the middle of the empty lawn. With his long, black hair and Indonesian features, he looks somewhat like a shaman from an Eastern legend. His movement, Global Lightforce Alliance, shares the Ubuntu philosophy with indigenous peoples and is connected to international freedom movements.
Florian moves seemingly effortlessly with the growth of the initiative. “We offer an open space where we search together for the foundation of the new world. What we discover is that humanity already agrees on 95 percent of it. Everyone wants a human, fair society based on trust. And to get out of bed motivated to do something fun.”

According to him, the frustration in the world arises because most people are being lived by circumstances. “They do things against their will. To survive. With us, connections are made between people from all corners of the world. The question we answer is: what do we all actually agree on?”
While the logistical machinery slowly gets underway around him, Silvis remains calmness personified. He speaks in a controlled, convincing manner and with timeless wisdom. It is the third time he has initiated this festival. It builds itself up as much as possible through self-organization.

Silvis drew inspiration from The People’s Reset in Mexico, a response to the WEF’s The Great Reset. For five years, that event has provided a stage for experts and grassroots initiatives with solutions in the fields of food security, agorism, autonomous communities, personal growth, and free digital infrastructure, such as alternative monetary systems and DAOs.
It is precisely the connection between the material and non-material world that The People’s Reset makes that appeals to Florian.

Next step in human evolution
Just like its Mexican counterpart, Gathering of Light breaks with the tradition of non-committal protesting. The festival helps participants to face their own shadow sides. By supporting each other, unity and a pure, common vision emerge. The second track is attracting a group of spiritually awakened individuals. Hence the name of the festival: Gathering of Light. This translates literally to a gathering of light, but figuratively refers to a bundling of the higher frequency of consciousness.

The science of consciousness states that fear promotes the lower frequencies of grief and anger, while the higher frequencies stem from our true nature. That is unconditional love.
The higher frequencies are many times stronger, and when they vibrate together, they pull the lower frequencies up with them. The greatest spiritual teacher of our time, Eckhart Tolle, predicts in his book “A New Earth” that now that more and more people dare to let go of their ego, a collective leap toward a pure consciousness is being made. This collective transformation of consciousness removes our heaviness and density. This results in a new society where happiness prevails. Tolle states that growing into a higher consciousness is the next step in human evolution.

How to beat an invisible enemy?
No matter how much you, as an interviewer, want to support this optimistic initiative, you cannot avoid striking a critical note: Isn’t pointing to an ‘invisible financial system’ that controls us too easy of an enemy? And can you really compete against harsh political and economic realities with meditative intentions?
Silvis does not respond defensively. His calmness betrays deep waters.

The chick experiment
Silvis mentions a series of scientists, including Walter Russell, Bruce Lipton, Joe Dispenza, and Rupert Sheldrake, who endorse the creative power of consciousness. They have demonstrated the connection between consciousness and material reality. These progressive scientists strengthen his conviction that the growing festival can actually bring about change.

He finds the most appealing example of such proof to be the ‘Chick experiment’ by René Peoc’h. Researchers let a robot, controlled by a computer that visited all corners of a course completely at random, drive around for days. Next, they showed a group of newborn chicks the robot. Consequently, the creatures began to view the machine as their mother. When the chicks were placed in a container at the side, the robot’s behavior changed inexplicably: it suddenly kept driving constantly near the container.

Silvis explains the meaning of this: “So those chicks have a very strong feeling. And that feeling is: I want to be with my mama. That feeling and that strong intention ensure that they collectively influence the field of consciousness. “So apparently, such a small chick already has such a strong power of manifestation that it can manage to influence a randomized outcome in this physical reality. Silvis drives the point home: if a tiny chick can bend physical reality through pure feeling and intention, what is a conscious group of people capable of?

Tangible example causes a revolution
The established order knows exactly how powerful this mechanism is and, according to Silvis, does everything in its power to prevent tangible alternatives from becoming visible—whether it concerns free energy devices, natural healing methods, or harmonious eco-villages. As soon as people see a working solution, their consciousness shifts.

Florian: “The moment you have a genuinely working example, people can suddenly visualize it: oh, that is what we want. Then they can choose it. And if they feel a strong emotion with it… Because when you have an underlying emotion, you attract it very quickly.”

Here lies the true mission of Gathering of Light. The festival is not a theoretical debating club, but the place where the pioneers of the new world physically come together. By providing an example on the spot of a mini-society that functions out of trust instead of fear, mutual differences dissolve.

A ‘congruent intention’ emerges, Silvis describes in scientific terms.
When the tent pegs go into the ground soon and the site comes to life, the experiment starts anew. After this weekend, visitors do not travel home with just a few beautiful memories, but with a deeply lived, shared collective vision.

Magic of mind power
The wish that the initiator expresses for this year: “Many beautiful connections. A strengthening of the movement. May that power spread to everyone present and to anyone working indirectly toward the same goal in whatever way. So that it continues to grow.”
Silvis assumes that the managers of the current system are aware of this option, dubbed ‘mind power’ for convenience. “Those people live in fear. That is why they deploy all their resources to play the population off against each other. And if we all remain apathetic, they have a chance to win. But if we wake up en masse and actually start believing in it, then we can truly realize our potential. Then it’s over. It’s that simple.”

Octopus sets the example

It is just like the octopus in the documentary My Octopus Teacher that gets attacked by a bloodthirsty shark. After a hours-long chase, the clever animal ends up on the back of its attacker and lets itself be driven around triumphantly.

Florian: “The joke is that we can then suddenly start using the entire apparatus that the established order has set up for good. For positive things. Then it’s like: thank you for all those data centers. Very useful. Then we’ll have the best AI running to help people. Great. We can run our cryptocurrency on that. All that hardware: Thank you. Then it all just gets reversed. And not that much is needed to achieve that. A small group of people who believe in it, are willing to take action, and refuse to be divided. That’s really all it takes.”
He emphasizes: “People have forgotten how much power they have. Visitors to our event haven’t just imagined the new world; they have already lived it here for a moment. And armed with that unwavering memory and power of manifestation, they are the ones who are going to permanently change the reality outside the festival gates.”
